Look for the Love

r2g-p1-ai4-Gandhi-webThink about the last time you truly felt alive.

What were you doing? Who were you with? You were probably doing something you’re passionate about or spending time with someone you love—a favorite relative, beloved animal companion, dear friend or treasured lover.

Now think about the last time you felt the life being drained out of you. You probably felt stressed or stuck—a personal loss, unfulfilling job, contentious relationship, financial setback, health challenges or isolation.

While loneliness, boredom and frustration can be common elements in the circle of life, you always have the ability to reclaim your personal power and recapture your zest for living. When you reengage love, you put the life back into your life.

By fueling yourself with constructive core energy based in love, respect, curiosity, compassion and gratitude, you too can create a life of generous, effortless, gracious flow filled with faith, hope, prosperity, peace and joy. By focusing on feeding all nine of your senses—the five outer ones through which you celebrate your external world and the four inner ones of creativity, vitality, spirituality and belonging through which you imbue your experience with meaning—you can restore a sense of balance and harmony to your days.

Give and receive love in all its many forms. Create something new and exciting. Strike up a conversation with a stranger. Visit a park or museum to witness beauty. Help someone in need. Take a walk to expand your perspective and renew your vigor. Express gratitude for your many blessings.

When you give and seek experiences of love, you move yourself forward into a life you love by empowering yourself with constructive, expansive, invigorating energy. The old saying goes, “Everyone eventually dies, but not everyone really lives.” It’s up to you. You are the great decider for your life.

If you want to start really living, embrace everything as an opportunity and, grounded in hope, look for the possibilities. They are everywhere! When you choose to express love in all of your activities and relationships, you will find love waiting for you. Your life will become a fluid Journey to Wholeness grounded in who you are being, not what you are doing. Every breath, thought, word and act will automatically transform every being and situation you encounter. You will, by your very presence, quite literally change the world.

Choosing to live in love starts with loving yourself unconditionally. Being grateful for every aspect of yourself—the attributes that thrill you and those that frustrate you and everyone who knows you. They are all essential elements of your role in unique expression of the Divine. When love transforms your relationship with yourself, it can’t help but transform your personal life, your work and the world.

About djwlifecoach

As a coach, author, speaker, singer, artist, consultant, radio host, Reiki Master and EFT/tapping practitioner, I share hope, possibilities and empowerment with the world. What's love got to do with minimizing stress and getting unstuck? Everything! My book, "Choose Your Energy: Change Your Life!" (Hay House/Balboa Press 2013) shares my story and the stories of 10 of my clients along with my signature Discovery Framework. During my 30 years as an organization transformation consultant, I served as a senior partner in four of the world's largest, most prestigious global professional services firms. In 2005, I took a five-year sabbatical to find healing and peace because non-stop work had taken its toll. My recovery from burnout, including a sustained 80-pound weight loss and freedom from 10 years of debilitating depression, led to finding my purpose guiding others on their journeys. Through healing and self-exploration, I discovered that loving yourself unconditionally is the key to transforming your personal life, your work and the world. With attention and intention, I learned to live in alignment with love through a wealth of energy-shifting tools and techniques that help me reduce stress, anxiety and overwhelm by releasing limiting beliefs, emotions and habits. My books, blog, radio show and signature coaching programs help individuals and organizations harness the transformative energy of love to turn unexplored possibilities into fulfilling realities and step into their greatness.
